Social Cleaning
For whatever reason (I’m still trying to find why I’ve decided this) I have made up my mind and I’m going to start ‘cleaning’ my life. I want to de-clutter it. Just slightly though, don’t want big changes - at least not right now. I just want to clear up some space, let go of things that I really do not need, and there is no reason for me to hold on to it. Ditto with feelings, thoughts, ideas, ‘past happenings’. OK… This is starting to sound like an ‘improve yourself’ pamphlet…
Anyways, I’ve started with my mobile, and I’ve deleted numbers I don’t need. Either people I don’t talk to anymore, people I exchanged numbers with but never phoned, old work colleagues we promised to see but never did… or takeaways I don’t or shouldn’t phone anymore. Ended up deleting 19 numbers. And I feel stupidly free; good with myself. I have still kept some numbers that I can’t see myself getting rid of, even if I know that I will never use them again, but 19 is a good start.
So, if you suddenly, from this week, you stop hearing from me via text message or phone call… Well, assume you were one of the 19 numbers I deleted… ![]()
