Heinz Advert
It is an appalling situation. Heinz has taken off the air an advert where two guys kissed due to viewers’ complaints. They complained that two guys where kissing in their television screen. What is appalling is not that people complain about men kissing (we all know that each one to their own, all opinions are valid, etc) but that a company will pull out an advert for such a moronic reason. If they had received thousands of complaints, I could even understand it, but they have only received 202. Yes, 202 complaints. The UK has a population of around 60 to 61 million people, and only 202 of those have complained. That’s 0.0336% of the UK population. That’s not even half a person out of a bunch of a hundred! Put a 100 guys/girls in a room, not even one of them complained! And Heinz has pulled the plug on the add because of that amount of people!
You can find the video here. Make up your own mind about it (personally, I don’t think it’s that good an advert anyways), let me know what you think about the situation. I honestly think we should start a motion, a list of signatures, and send it to those guys in the Heinz company and see what they say. If we get more than 202 signatures, double that at least, will they put the advert back? I mean, we would be more than the guys that actually complained!
It’s sad that we still read this kind of story. Homophobia is alive and kicking. I think we should kick back.

I couldn’t help but notice that you overestimated the amount of complainers. It’s actually only 0.000336% which makes your point even stronger!
And, btw it seems some user (whoever posted it?) removed the video from YouTube

To better imagine this silliness - 202 people out of 60 million means only one out of 30 thousand complained…

my maths is not so hot - it’s one in 300,000 not one in 30,000!
