New Work-Space
I love my new work space. I mean it! It’s not that I’ve changed jobs, or even buildings. It’s just that our office space has been rearranged. And it’s pretty good. The fact that my table is now near the fridge/microwave means I can now hear all the ‘private’ conversations my colleages have. And no, that tan the administrative assistante has is, apparently, not real. Nor are those boobs the girl in the other office has (apparently bras are miracle workers!).
I like the fact that my new table hasn’t come with my own phone line. They are still working on it, you see. But it’s good! It means i don’t have to deal with clients! Awesome, I say! I also love the fact that our new scanning and printing area has been made smaller. It is great when there are two people trying to work in that little corner. Makes it easier to know if the other person had a shower or not that morning, or if their cologne is patchouli or bad B.O…. I adore the fact that the printer is nearer Calcutta than our desks. Makes for great exercise. And I think the fact that there is a huge table right in the middle of the office, an excelent option. Can’t believe no-one thought of this one before. Adds to the exercise while walking to Calcutta for your print-outs.
I think it’s a stroke of genious to have got away with all the bins… I mean, I rather pile my rubbish in my table, in a corner, and create a colony of little buddies who collect the crums I leave behind. That’s what I call recycling. And being in-tune with the environment!
I love my new office space. If anything, it makes for more interesting conversations with my colleages than the latest stats or our clients’ brief changes…
