Let’s Gym-it

So, I’ve been going to the gym (photos of the amazing transformation, without a t-shirt people!, at the bottom of the post, so keep reading). I’ve been working hard, pushing myself every session I go, slagging off the hot buff gym-posers, laughing at my tomato red face when I exercise (why do they have mirrors right in front of you!? I mean, c’mon, you know it is highly unlikely that you look hot while pushing some weights around cursing the mother of the gym-inventor). It’s been great fun too. I know, it’s a bit sad that I enjoy the gym so much, but it makes me feel better with the world (it’s those endorfins thingies, I tell you). I joined my gym around 3 weeks ago after the one I used to go to closed down, and I have been going three days a week. That makes me tired and sore, but happy nevertheless.

I have to say that I don’t see much change in me yet since, you see, I have a fast metabolism, its neon impossible to put some weight on me, and all I can master right now is around 35-40k in each machine… But I won’t desist! I will continue working hard in the hope that, one day, I can look slightly tonned. Now if that day doesn’t come by my summer holiday…

But what I enjoy the most about going to the gym is not how it makes me better in the inside and slightly in the outside (Is that a six-pack I can start seeing or is it my imagination!?), but in fact looking at the supposedly ‘hot’ guys, those gym-enthusiasts that spend every waking hour exercising. And it is not that I enjoy it because of the eye candy (which, fair enough, I do too) but because sometimes, more often that you would think, you see one of this allegded adonis (perfect face, great hair, good stamina, sculptured muscles) bend to grab a towel or in a not-holding-the-tummy-in moment, and the real them comes out. They too have a beer-belly they can’t get rid off. They too are, in fact, very much imperfect. Ha!

As promised, photos of my ‘amazing transformation’ are down there for you to see and compare. And do me a favour. Next time you see me, just drop in the conversation how good I look and how much good this gym is doing to my phisique. A boy needs encouragement!

    Not sure if you’re looking for a gym advice but there are two completely different approaches depending on whether you want to gain muscle mass or to lose fat and get the muscles you have visible. What’s your aim?
