Failte Gu Alba

So Alba is Scotland in Gaelic… a friend of mine told me today. Random fact which I found very interesting… No idea why exactly. And ‘Failte gu Alba’ means ‘Welcome to Scotland’. And I know how random this sounds, but I had no idea, and after 6-7 years living here, I thought I should have known that. Either that or its 23:10 and I’m dead tired… I should head to bed…

I know a couple where the guy is Scottish and the woman is Spanish and they named their daughter Alba :-D I think it’s a brilliant name in their case, as Alba has a meaning in both languages: “Scotland”, as you said, in Gaelic and “dawn” in Spanish.

Mmmmm… Best part of the day?? Not too sure… I think the best part of the day is the second the clock tells you your work-shift has finished!
